This palette was an absolute bargain though. Normally £45, I got it for a mere £18. That's less than one of the Ready duo shadows!
This, like the Light Show palette, comes with a gold clutch bag. Not sure I'd ever use it, but it's cute non the less, maybe nice for a makeup bag to pop in my purse.
The palette itself is fairly sleek, quite handy for travelling if you don't want to lug a whole load of products around with you.
The gold mirrored finish isn't going to stay looking cute for long though. The second you touch it expect finger print marks everywhere.
But it's what is inside that is wonderful.
Ready Bronzer - The Skinny Dip
Ready Blusher - The Sure Thing
Ready Eyeshadows - Chill, Sparkler, Shiver & Blackout
Double Ended Natural Lipgloss - Pink Sorbet & Creamsicle
Mini Double Ended Blush / Shadow Brush
The Skinny Dip Bronzer - this is part of the permanent collection, and the lightest of their Ready Bronzers. It's a light tan matte shade, quite warm, not orange, more of a peachy undertone. I'd say this is best suited for those either wanting to just add a slight bit of warmth to their whole face or for those who are very very fair it may make a good contouring bronzer. Personally, even though I'm only NW15-NW20 and N2 in MAC Face & Body, I prefer their Ready Bronzer in The High Dive which is a much deeper shade.
The Sure Thing Blusher - in the pan this looks matte, but when swatched it definitely has some fine gold shimmer. It's quite a rosy pink shade, and when I swatched it the first thing that struck me was how similar it was to NARS Orgasm & Benefit Bella Bamba (see swatch comparisons below).
Chill Eyeshadow - this is quite a stark bright white with a satin finish and some very fine shimmer, a great shade for an inner corner highlight.
Sparkler Eyeshadow - the sheerest of the shadows, it's what I call a blonde gold shade, again a satin finish with some fine shimmer particles. A great all over lid colour or again inner corner highlight.
Shiver Eyeshadow - the most unique shadow in the palette, it's like a lavender, greyish green duo chrome, quite frosty metallic with again some fine shimmer.
Blackout Eyeshadow - in the pan this looks like a basic matte black, but catch it in the light or swatch it and you see this stunning teal shimmer, giving it an almost midnight blue effect. Just WOW.
The double ended lip gloss comes with brush style applicators (not my favourite, prefer doe foot). Creamsicle reminds me of MAC Dazzleglasses. It has a pale pinky/lavender opalescence to it packed full of pink micro shimmer.
Pink Sorbet is a sheer rosy shade, and although it does contain some shimmer, it basically goes on like a cream finish.
Both shades are sheer, and have a very feint fruity scent, not minty like the Moxie glosses.
The dual ended blusher / shadow brush appears to be natural hair.
Loving this palette, and I think the shadows will be the perfect compliment to the shades in the Light Show palette.
